Is-sinjal għal BARRANI magħmul minn żewġ partijiet magħqudin. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal għal PERSUNA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq bil-pala tħares ’l isfel u titqiegħed f’punt quddiem fil-għoli, livell mal-għonq. (ii) Fit-tieni parti jsir is-sinjal għal BARRA. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5, bil-pala tal-id tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id timxi lura lejn il-ġenb u l-pala tal-id tispiċċa tħares laġenba bis-swaba’ jħarsu ’il barra.
The sign for FOREIGNER consists of two parts. (i) The first part is the sign for PERSON. One hand takes the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing downwards and is placed at various points along each other at neck level. (ii) In the second part the sign for OUTSIDE is made. One hand takes the shape of 5 with the palm facing inwards. The hand moves back to the side and the palm then faces sideways whilst the fingers point outwards.
